After the run of Beauty and the Beast 3D ended last week, the El Capitan Theater started showing a run of Lion King in 3D. Lion King seemed especially perfect for 3D, with the sprawling vistas of the African landscape that permeate this film. For the most part, it looked pretty great. I think the 3D worked better here than in Beauty and The Beast, actually.Lion King was the first movie I saw in the theater and as such, remains one of my favorite Disney movies to this day. It was awesome to get to see it for the first time in a very long time! I can’t wait for the other Disney movies to get released in 3D!
